INTERNET TELEPHONY: VoIP
Internet Telephony or VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) is one of the most exciting benefits of having access to the Internet. No longer are you held hostage by the traditional mobile and fixed line telephone companies which charge excessively to make international calls.

Limeline uses Quality of Service (QoS) to give priority to voice calls over both the wireless link and the satellite. This means the capacity needed to carry your voice conversation is guaranteed and takes preference over web surfing, e-mails, etc., so you are always assured of a quality call.

SKYPE
Limeline also recommends Skype, the world’s leading Internet telephony company to bring you free calls to other Skype users. You can see when other Skype users are online and you can send short messages or transfer large files.

You download and install Skype’s software onto your computer (we can help you do that during the initial installation) from www.skype.com.

You can also call fixed lines and mobiles using SkypeOut if you have an international credit card, but you should be aware that Skype uses proprietary software that currently is outside the scope of the Quality of Service specifications, so call quality can be unpredictable.
